Naturally grown and fully biodegradable and/or compostable, these luffa provide a variety of uses! They can be used in the shower when some extra scrubbing power is needed, use them to exfoliate dry skin, even put one at the kitchen sink to scrub dishes!
These luffa are from the luffa gourds that we grow here on our farm, using only organically approved herbicides or pesticides (and rarely even using those!). After the gourds have dried, we shake them to loosen seeds, peel the dry outer layer of skin off, remove as many seeds as possible by shaking them more, rinse them with plain water several times as we remove seeds, and then bleach them to remove any dark spots and sanitize them before a final rinse and setting them out to air dry. Once fully dry, we cut them into useable size- between 3 and 4 inches in length.
Just like no two plants in nature are completely identical, these naturally grown luffa are all going to look slightly unique in size and shape, and the coloring will vary slightly.
